A managed transition

We start with what is connected to the line.

A fire panel, elevator phone, fax machine, modem, and security entry system do not all use an analog line in exactly the same way. MSQ reviews the application, current provider, equipment, location, available connectivity, and site requirements before recommending the replacement approach.

After installation, the line is tested with the connected equipment. For monitored or life-safety applications, testing and acceptance are coordinated with the appropriate provider and site requirements where applicable.

Common questions

Before you replace the old line.

Do I have to replace my existing equipment?

Not automatically. The first step is to identify the connected device and verify whether it is appropriate for the replacement solution. Compatible equipment may remain in service.

Can MSQ handle multiple lines at one location?

Yes. The assessment asks for the approximate number of lines so the project can be scoped around the site rather than treating every line as a separate unknown.

What happens before the old line is disconnected?

The replacement should be installed and tested with the connected equipment as part of a controlled transition. Do not remove a critical existing service before the replacement path has been properly validated.

What about fire alarm or elevator applications?

Those applications require additional coordination. Deployment should follow the applicable monitoring-provider, site, and authority requirements, and final acceptance remains subject to the appropriate authority where required.
